What is a carpool?
It is two or more
people sharing a ride to a common or nearby destination. Carpooling is easy, inexpensive,
and flexible. The Lloyd District carpool permit costs only $45. See application form link below.

- Over 150 on-street spaces are reserved for Lloyd District carpools from 6:00 a.m.-10:00
a.m. Monday-Friday
- Sharing the costs of gas, parking and related expenses with just one other person
saves each of you 50 percent on your commute costs
- Carpooling reduces wear and tear on your vehicle
- Carpooling may result in lower insurance rates. Check with your insurance agent.
What's CarpoolMatchNW.org?

CarpoolMatchNW.org is a web
site dedicated to the fine art of carpooling. If you are without a carpool partner or
would like to add another partner to your carpool, you can register yourself and your
preferences (for example, a non-smoking car) and find others in your area who are looking
to carpool. It is safe and secure, and you are responsible for how much information you
give to your matches. You can communicate via e-mail (or phone if you wish to provide that
information) and decide if the person on the other side of the computer is the carpool
partner of your dreams.
